MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick ❤️

The lipstick with flash photography

The lipstick in natural sunlight
Last week I received the MAC Viva Glam Rihanna in the mail, and I must admit I was a little bit worried about ordering this lipstick. But before I begin I think we should all take a moment to admire the amazing packaging! It comes in a limited edition soft-touch red packaging with Rihanna's signature on it. The reason why I was a little worried about this lipstick is because the finish is a frost finish. I'm not a huge fan of frosty lipsticks BUT on me you can't really tell it's a frost, unless you're up really close. In the tube it looks like it has some gold shimmers, but again nothing too noticeable on me. It's a blue based red and makes my teeth look lovely and white. I suggest using a lip liner as this red isn't matte (I didn't wear a lip liner in the pictures). The best part about MAC's Viva Glam lipsticks are that 100% of the proceeds go towards HIV/AIDS. So even if you don't love the colour every cent goes towards a great cause.

This lipstick is $36AUD and can be purchased online at the MAC website or in store.

Stila In The Light Palette

I have had this palette for a while now and I can easily say that it has become a staple for my everyday makeup look. After purchasing this as one of my first "expensive" eye shadow palettes, I knew straight away that I had to own the other three. So of course I eventually bought the others which are all beautiful, but I still use the In The Light palette the most.

I bought mine from Mecca Cosmetica for $62AUD. There are 4 matte shades and 6 wearable shimmery shades (including Kitten - Stila's most known). All beautiful neutral shadows. They are all extremely pigmented (this goes for the other Stila palettes as well). They are very buttery and soft, and are super easy to blend.

This palette is stunning and I feel that it ticks all the boxes for me. Even though it is $62 it is 100% worth your money, especially since a single Stila eye shadow is $29AUD. Oh and it comes with a Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel (matte chocolate brown) which is usually $32AUD! I could easily use this palette everyday for the rest of my life.

So if you don't already own this palette I suggest you go out and buy it ASAP!

The Body Shop Ginger Sparkle

Today is a very sad day as I have used up all of my limited edition Body Shop body butter in Ginger Sparkle. :(.
I love Christmas scents, so when I saw this gingerbread Body Butter at Christmas time I was so excited. I bought two big pots and even took one overseas with me. It smells amazing, just like gingerbread. After the first time I used it my mum smelt it and had to go buy a pot the next day! I have always loved The Body Shop's body butters as they are so moisturising. I used it every night before I went to bed.

Let me know what other Body Shop body butters smell good as I will need to purchase another! :)

Pretty in Pink for Valentines ❤️

As a single lady myself I know that my Valentines will be spent watching some awesome chick flicks and treating myself. But since Valentines Day is coming I thought it would be the right time to share some of my favourite pink products that I have in my collection. As I have a slight obsession with pink makeup I do own quite a few products. With so many different shades of pink around, there is something for everyone.

For some pretty pale pink cheeks MAC powder blush in Well Dressed is perfect to add a little bit of colour. To go with the blush I like to apply Stila's highlight duo in Kitten to the top of my cheekbones which gives that beautiful Victoria's Secret glow.

I think the most important thing for every occasion is some long and full flirty lashes. Maybelline's Great Lash Lots of Lashes gives volume and length which is perfect for a date with that special someone. Falsies can always be worn as well.

With lips there are so many options to choose from. Some of my faves are the NYX Butter Glosses, the one I have in the picture is Maple Blondie. For a your lips but better colour MAC's Angel is a great lipstick. And finally one of my most worn favourites is Limecrime's opaque lipstick in Great Pink Planet which is a fun pastel Barbie pink.

Bourjois Bargins!

The other day I went into Target and found the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum and the Delice de Soleil bronzing powder for only $5 AUD each! (I think they were selling them cheap as they don't stock Bourjois anymore). So I obviously had to get them. I know that a lot of people own these products, but I thought I would share my opinion about them.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
You can buy this foundation at Priceline for $32 AUD. It comes in 5 different shades, I got the lightest, no. 51 Light Vanilla.

Here's what it promises on the Bourjois website:
The Healthy Mix Serum foundation reveals and boosts the radiance of the complexion with its vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula. Its fresh gel foundation instantly blends onto the skin, for an even, very natural finish, with no streaks. Imperfections are erased, signs of fatigue are smoothed, the radiance of the complexion is boosted for 16 hours.  Hypoallergenic, lets skin breathe. Dermatologically tested.

What I think:
I have only worn this foundation a couple times in the last week and I have very mixed feelings about it. This foundation is a gel foundation. It has a thin consistency and a light to medium coverage. It has a dewy finish which I like in a foundation. I would say my skin is normal to combination. It can get a little oily around my nose and on my chin, and it can sometimes get a bit dry depending on the weather. I wouldn't say this foundation lasts 16 hours. By the end of the day it had creased under my eyes (I wasn't wearing concealer) and looked cakey around my nose and chin. My eyelids aren't really oily but it came off them completely. I did set it with a powder and finished the rest of my makeup as usual. I do like the finish it gave and the fact that it is perfect for an everyday light coverage. I would suggest that people with oily skin or dry patches not try this foundation. I will continue to use this foundation and maybe experiment with other products to set it etc and see how it goes.

Bourjois Delice de Soleil Bronzer
You can buy this bronzing powder at Priceline for $30 AUD. It comes in 2 different shades, 12 Fair/Medium and 14 Olive/Tan. I picked up the darker shade.

Here's what it promises on the Bourjois website:
An exquisite bronzing powder for a delicious natural and radiant tan. With a deliciously addictive chocolate scent and ultra-fine texture, this bronzing powder enhances all complexions with a naturally sheer result and sun-kissed glow.

What I think:
I loveeee this bronzer! It's a nice colour, not orange or too dark even though I have fair skin. I mainly use it to contour and just blend it out nicely. The small golden sparkles don't show up on the skin. Oh, and it smells amazing!

What the foundation looks like after wearing
it all day in natural sunlight:
Products used:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation in 51 Light Vanilla
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light
Bourjois Delice de Soleil Bronzer in 14 Olive/Tan
MAC Powder Blush in Well Dressed
Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten
Covergirl Lashblast Mascara
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara
MAC Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick

Let me know of any other foundations I should try :)

Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

Mascara is definitely a must for my everyday makeup routine. As my eyelashes are blonde and pretty much non-existent, I have always struggled applying mascara to my bottom lashes. The wands never seem to reach all of the lashes as they are too big and the mascara smears everywhere. I end up with more on my bottom lash line then on my lashes. UNTIL I came across the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara!

My non-existent lashes before:

My bottom lashes after using one coat:

I picked it up from my local Myer for $28AUD about 2 months ago before going on my Europe holiday. (£12.00 from Boots and 15.00€ from Clinique Website). And ever since, I don't think I've gone a day without using it! As Clinique describes "it is long-wearing and has a formula that resists smears." I 100% agree! I have worn this mascara through London rain and Australian heat and it lasts all day with no flaking or smudging. The best part about this mascara is the teeny tiny wand that reaches every lash with ease.

The only negative I have is that you are spending $28AUD for a mascara that can only be used on your bottom lashes. The tube is only 2mL, but like I said, you are only using it on your bottom lashes so it will last a while.

I would definitely recommend this product. I would say it is a must for my makeup collection.

I hope everyone has a good day :)
